We recently received a complaint regarding the live music at The Little Jockey on the 16th of May, and it’s made us reflect on what local pubs really mean to a village community.
The Little Jockey is more than just a pub to us. It’s a place where friends meet, neighbours catch up, families celebrate, and memories are made. In a time when so many village pubs are sadly closing their doors for good, we’re doing everything we can to keep ours alive, welcoming, and full of community spirit.
Live music nights and events are part of bringing people together and creating an atmosphere that keeps a village pub thriving. Of course, we never want to upset anyone, and we will always do our best to be respectful and considerate to those living nearby.
But we also hope people see the bigger picture — because once places like this are gone, they’re very hard to bring back.
We’d genuinely love to hear from our community about what you want for the future of our village pub. Our hope is simply to keep The Little Jockey as a warm, lively place at the heart of the village for many years to come. Ok
Thank you to everyone who supports us, attends our events, and helps keep local community spaces alive. It means more than you know.
