❤️🍻 8 YEARS AGO TODAY… OUR JOURNEY BEGAN! 🍻❤️

Today marks 8 years since we took over The New Inn, and I honestly don’t know where those years have gone!

When we first walked through those doors, we had hopes, dreams and plenty of enthusiasm. Little did we know just how much this little village pub would become a part of our lives. ❤️

8 years of laughter, tears, sleepless nights, hard work, wonderful memories and more than a few challenges along the way.

There have been times when we’ve laughed until our sides hurt, times when we’ve wondered what on earth we were doing, and yes, times when we’ve questioned whether we could carry on.

Running a village pub is far from easy. The rising costs, the long hours, the sacrifices and the constant worry of keeping the doors open can sometimes feel overwhelming.

But then something reminds us why we do it…

A bar full of laughter, friends catching up over a pint, a successful charity night, children enjoying a party, a community coming together, or simply someone walking through the door and saying, “It’s lovely to be here.”

Those are the moments that make it all worthwhile. ❤️

Over these 8 years, we’ve welcomed strangers who have become friends, watched friendships grow, celebrated happy occasions and supported each other through difficult times.

We’ve also sadly said goodbye to some wonderful characters who were such a big part of The New Inn family. They may no longer be sitting in their usual seats, but they’ll never be forgotten. ❤️

To our incredible customers, our loyal regulars, our staff past and present, our family and friends…

Thank you for every pint you’ve bought, every meal you’ve enjoyed, every event you’ve attended, every kind word, every laugh and every bit of support you’ve given us.

You probably don’t realise just how much those little things mean to a small village business.

We have always wanted The New Inn to be somewhere people feel welcome, somewhere you can walk in on your own and find someone to talk to, somewhere you can have a laugh, forget your troubles for a little while and feel part of something.

We might not always get everything right, but everything we do comes from the heart. ❤️

A village pub is only as strong as the community that supports it, and without you, there simply wouldn’t be a New Inn.

So, as we celebrate our 8th anniversary today, we want you all to know how grateful we are.

It’s not always been an easy journey, but it’s certainly been a memorable one, and we wouldn’t have met so many wonderful people without it.
