🎶 PERFORMANCE RECAP | ESTHER BENNETT 🎶

Well, yesterday afternoon came with a rather lovely surprise at Lincoln Jazz Café! ❤️

We were delighted to welcome Esther Bennett for her debut performance at LJC, but little did we know she had something extra up her sleeve…

Esther surprised us with not one, but TWO additional performers, the wonderful Andy Tytherleigh and Rachel Calladine, turning our Sunday Afternoon Special into something even more memorable. 🎶✨

The three of them were absolutely fantastic together. Beautiful music, wonderful chemistry and exactly the kind of intimate live performance we love hosting in our little café.

The audience loved it, and so did we! ❤️

A huge thank you to Esther, Andy and Rachel for such a special afternoon, and to everyone who joined us and made Esther’s first LJC performance such a warm one.

We really hope it won’t be the last! 🎤🎶❤️

Today marks Esther Bennett’s debut performance at Lincoln Jazz Café, making this a rare opportunity to experience her for the very first time in our intimate little venue.

Esther is an acclaimed jazz vocalist with a wonderfully distinctive style, and we’re incredibly excited to finally welcome her to LJC.

Tonight he’ll be joined by Sam Jackson on double bass and Simon Henry on drums, bringing together three seriously talented musicians for what should be a fantastic evening of live music.

🎷 Think a jazz café probably isn’t for you?

I thought exactly the same.

When I first started working with Lincoln Jazz Café, jazz wasn’t really on my radar. But somewhere along the way, I discovered there’s a lot more to this little venue than I expected.

The live music. The cocktails. The tasting nights. The atmosphere. And a room full of people who don’t care whether you know your Coltrane from your… well, anything really. 😂

So I thought that was probably a good place to start with the first ever LJC Journal.

And this is just the beginning. Over the coming months, the Journal will take you a little further behind the scenes at LJC — meeting some of the musicians who perform here, sharing their stories and influences, exploring Lincoln’s jazz and cultural scene, and introducing you to more of the people and stories behind the café.
