Today 2pm onwards, we raise a glass to someone who wasn’t just a customer, but part of our mad cat family, the stories, and the heart of the pub.

Your loyalty, laughter, and familiar place in the bar meant more than words can say. You brought warmth to ordinary days and friendship to everyone who walked through the door.

Tonight, we celebrate a life well lived, memories well shared, and the lasting mark you leave behind in this pub and in all of us.

Rest easy, old friend. Your seat may be empty, but your presence never will be.

We have great comfort that you are back with your wonderful wife.

You are both dearly missed 💙🩷

🌿🎨 PAINTING GARDEN PARTY 🎨🌿

Weekend plans = sorted ✅

Join us at the pub for a laid-back Painting Garden Party—good vibes, great company, and a splash of creativity in the sunshine ☀️

🥓 10am bacon, sausage and vegan rolls
☕️ Tea, coffee and soft drinks served all afternoon
🖌️ Outside painting, furniture, fences and decking
🏰 Bouncy castle for the kids
🍗 Bbq being lit at 2.30pm for all helpers and a free alcoholic drink or 2x soft drinks each

We have the paint, spare brushes, music and atmosphere, all you have to do is turn up, bring your friends and the sunshine! ☀️

When no one’s been in all day, you can really feel it.

The TV’s on but no one’s watching it properly.
Meals get missed or just don’t feel worth the effort.
The day just sort of passes, We see this a lot.

Then one of our team walks in and everything shifts a bit.
There’s a chat, a cup of tea, someone actually there.

It might seem small, but it makes a big difference.

That’s what our companionship visits are about.
Not just ticking a box, but giving someone something to look forward to.
