In October, the lovely folks from will be teaching us how to paint “A Magical Path”

If September’s puffins were anything to go by, we’re in for another fab evening. You’ll get step-by-step guidance all the way, so the only skills you really need are the ability to hold a paintbrush and listen… although listening is apparently optional for some of us! 😂

It’s Sunday Funday!

Join us later today for the delectable Mr Graham Buxton , singing all your favourites and helping you while away the afternoon… and conveniently forget that tomorrow is Monday! 😬

And if you’re lucky, there may even be some of our legendary roast potatoes left on the bar!

Do you yearn for an alternate universe?

One where the day job doesn’t exist, your problems can be solved with spells, your enemies can be smited, and conquering the world with your mates is a perfectly reasonable way to spend a Monday evening?

Well… we can’t quite whisk you away to another universe. BUT you can join the merry band of D&D enthusiasts at The Oak and create your very own world — complete with heroes, villains, Eastenders worthy cliffhangers, glorious victories and, almost certainly, someone accidentally setting something on fire.

THE THIRD THURSDAY IS LOOMING!

Which means it’s time to get our final Bikes @ The Oak meet of the year firmly in your diary!

Join us on Thursday 17th September from 6pm for an evening of great bikes, great food, great drinks and, most importantly, even better company.

Whether you’re bringing two wheels, four wheels, or just yourself, come along and enjoy the atmosphere. And if you’re an eager beaver, feel free to arrive earlier — we're always happy to see people!

For those of you who missed our previous post, in January myself & Andy will be handing the keys to The Oak back to Admiral Taverns so the hunt is on to find the next landlords.

We’ve loved our time at the pub, we’ve loved meeting (almost 😉) every single one of you & we’re super proud of the community pub we’ve created. We’d love to pass the baton on to someone who will not only keep old favourites going but nurture new ideas to take it onto the next stage.

If any of our customers past or present want to take on this little gem of a pub there will be an open day on the 29th September to discuss things with our Business Development Manager.

TIME FOR ANOTHER SUNDAY SESSIONS! 🎶

We’re bringing you another Sunday Session, and what better person to entertain you on an autumnal Sunday - the small but mighty Graham Buxton! 🙌

He may only be one man with a guitar, but don’t let that fool you… Graham knows exactly how to get a crowd singing, dancing and generally forgetting Monday is incoming! 😂

Why not make a proper afternoon of it? Book your Sunday lunch, fill your belly with all the good stuff, then settle in for some cracking tunes and plenty of songs you’ll know every word to… even if you pretend you don’t!

We mean at the quiz, obviously… because cardboard dishes are notoriously difficult to smash, and we really do prefer that nobody tests the structural integrity of our glasses! 😂
