This Tuesday we welcome back Sanjeev’s Kitchen for their second visit to The Oak. Last time they donned their superhero capes and swooped in to save us from a night of NO FOOD at the quiz… and frankly, we’re not over it yet. 😂

This time they’ll be serving up their delicious Sri Lankan tastiness to properly oil those braincells before you take on the institution that is…

THE TUESDAY NIGHT OAK PUB QUIZ!

So gather your team, book your table and prepare to debate, discuss, deliberate and, if all else fails, stamp your feet until the rest of your team finally accepts your answer and writes it down. 😂

It’s not quiz night yet, but Mooi Pizza will be firing up the oven to bring you pizzas tonight (Monday)! If you fancy a pizza & a pint pop in from 5!

Well, it seems the weather is fully on board with All Hallows’ Eve and the season of getting COSY!

And frankly, we can think of no better way to embrace it than with a proper Sunday roast, followed by an apple & blackberry crumble or a sticky toffee pudding. 😋

So, give us a call and book your table for tomorrow’s lunch — and while you’re here, you can save yourself a few pennies by not putting the heating on at home!

🎃👻 OUT ON THE HALLOWEEN TRAIL? 👻🎃

If you’re out and about working your way around the village and fancy a little liquid refreshment, a late lunch or an early dinner, then make The Oak one of your Halloween pit stops!

The decorations will be up, the spooky vibes will be flowing and, most importantly, the bowl of treats will be ready because quite frankly, we can’t be dealing with any tricks!

So bring your little witches, wizards, ghosts and ghouls along and come say BOO…

We just ask that if you’re out with your small people, you pop in before 8pm, as things are going to get rather busy after that with our Halloween live music kicking off and the grown-up monsters arriving! 🎶🧛‍♂️

(Because those darned clocks went back!)

(And when it does, we shall be calling last orders!)

Creatures crawl in search of blood…
(Although we hope you'll make do with our more standard list of drinks.)

To terrorize y’all’s neighbourhood…
(And by this we mean: please only knock on doors with Halloween decorations!)

And whosoever shall be found…
Without the soul for getting down…
(We hope you’ll ALL be getting down on the dancefloor!)

Must stand and face the Hounds of Hell…
(AKA the bar staff at the end of the night when they REALLY want to go home.)

And rot inside a corpse’s shell…
(Hopefully the hangover won’t be quite that bad… but a Sunday Roast can probably help with that.)

The foulest stench is in the air…
(Hopefully the wind is blowing Envar’s aroma towards St Ives!) 😂

The funk of forty thousand years…

(Well, we did say to bring a coat for the walk home!)
