Wellhouse Village Community Club Cosy spot in the Colne Valley with a coal fire, friendly atmosphere & reasonable drink prices Our cosy Social Club sits opposite the village green.

Wellhouse sits on the side of The Colne Valley between Golcar and Slaithwaite, west of Huddersfield. On winter evenings we gather round the wood-fired stove, and in summer there are outside seats. The bar offers a selection of wines, spirits and beers, including Bottle-Conditioned Real Ales from local breweries. Wellhouse Book Club meets monthly on Monday evenings. Visitors always welcome! Our History
The building was built in 1887 as Wellhouse Liberal Club. Wellhouse Community Trust took over ownership of the building in 2000 to enable a community facility and meeting place to be available in the village. The Community Trust holds local events to raise funds for the maintenance and running costs of the building. Function Room
The Club is normally available for hire at weekends, early evenings and certain afternoons. Please contact for details. There is an upstairs hall for hire (36 feet x 24 feet). Price by negotiation. The Village Club has a bar licensed under a club premises certificate, however there are no kitchen facilities. Parking is not available off the road.
