Welcome to The Swan, a beautiful country pub in Heddon-On-The-Wall, Newcastle. We’re the perfect spot for any occasion or escape.
(729)

The Swan in Heddon-on-the-Wall is a historic country pub that has been serving locals and visitors since 1842. Originally a cottage with a blacksmiths shop, it has evolved into an ‘ale house’ before becoming the charming establishment with a rich history it is today. In 1899, it was rebuilt as the present "Swan Inn" and has been a beloved beer house ever since. At The Swan, guests can indulge in a variety of hearty favourites and country pub classics. The menus also feature seasonal dishes that showcase the best of local produce. Whether one prefers a refreshing cask ale, a fine wine or a British gin, the well-stocked bar has something to suit every taste. Guests can enjoy their drinks in the beautiful gardens or cosy up by the crackling log fires. The Swan eagerly awaits the opportunity to welcome you.
