It was just looking a bit too miserable out there so we needed cheering (& warming) up!

Felt Nowt comedy returns upstairs tonight, doors open 7.30pm, show starts 8pm…

Afternoon!

The sky is rather grey & it’s definitely getting to the point where we’re debating whether or not to put the fire on… 😬

We’ve managed to hold off so far, but further indication of Autumn most definitely being upon us is the fact that it’s BEAK Bampa Day on Friday!
Bampa is Beak’s annual Best Bitter, released to coincide with leaves falling from trees, nights getting darker & fires being lit… 🍂
We will have it pouring from opening on Friday… 🍻

Other happenings this week…

Tomorrow sees our Felt Nowt comedy night return after its annual summer break & it’s a superb line-up to be kicking things off with!
There are still a few tickets available too, so either pop into the pub or head to Felt Nowt’s website (link in our Insta Bio) to secure your space!

The Greekster will also be here from 5pm tomorrow so you can eat before the gig! (No food in venue though please! 🚫)

A brand new NZ hopped collab between Salopian Brewery & Wylam Brewery Ltd & a couple of newbies from Full Circle Brew Co
Born To Count is a big 7% IPA that the guys are calling the best b**r they’ve made this year!
But the one that seems to be turning everyone’s head today is Pet Pterodactyl, a refreshing 4.5% Pale with just a hint of peachiness! 🍑

Flankman are here from 5pm & it’s the Ryton Cross Community Society 200 Club prize draw at 7.30pm…

What a beautiful, fresh morning it’s been! 😎

The weekend is once again knocking at the door! ✊

Our friends at Donzoko Brewery and Taproom have given their flagship b**r Northern Helles a bit of a refresh (Same fantastic b**r, just a brand new look)…
The relaunch is tomorrow & we’re one of a number of venues who will have it pouring with an all-new tap badge & bonny new glassware! ✨

On Saturday the Ryton Cross Community Society 200 Club prize draw returns!
Numbers will be on sale in the bar from 6.30pm & the draw will be held at 7.30pm…
£5 per number, prizes of £200, £100 & £50 to be won… 🤑🤑🤑

Sunday evening sees the Ryton Chess Club meet in the snug at 7pm… All welcome… ♟️

Been dying to get this mad beast of a b**r on since taking delivery of it a week or so ago, but due to Oktoberfest we’ve not had a spare line available until now…
(Though both myself & Dylan had to satisfy our curiosity by paying seperate visits to Donzoko Brewery and Taproom ‘s superb taproom in Ouseburn in order to try it! 😂)

It’s one of those b**rs that delivers something different with every sip… (My initial overwhelming impression was milk! But in a really good way…)

Basically, it’s a 7% IPA that tastes nowt like other IPA’s…

That’s about as good as you’ll get from me so here’s the official line on it: ✌🏻
