When you look at old photographs of the club, one thing stands out:

People coming together.

Over the years, this building has seen generations of village life pass through its doors, celebrations, friendships, community events, difficult times, and some very good nights too.

Today, that continues in new ways.

The bowls and tennis are still here.
The hall is still full of life.
People still meet at the bar for a chat.
And the club still brings together people from all walks of village life.

A lot has changed in the last 100 years.

But the sense of community behind this place is something we never want to lose.

Whether you’ve been coming here for years or have never visited before, you’ll always get a warm welcome.

Over 100 years ago, this club was created to bring the village together.

After the First World War, Beacon Hill needed places where people could meet, support one another, and rebuild community life.

That spirit is still here today.

The faces have changed.
The events have changed.
The village has grown.

But at its heart, the club still serves the same purpose it always did, bringing people together.

From community events and weddings to live music, sport, classes and simply somewhere to meet for a chat, the building continues to be part of everyday village life.

And we’re proud that, more than a century later, it still belongs to the community it was built for.
