❤️ A LITTLE UPDATE FROM US ❤️
After what will be 15 years at The Prince of Wales, we've made the difficult decision to hand in our notice and will be leaving the pub in six months' time.
This certainly hasn't been an easy decision. It is not a choice we want to make, but is one that we need to make. Running this pub for 15 years has been such a huge part of our lives, and we've been so lucky to meet so many wonderful people along the way. We've shared laughs, tears, made memories and had the privilege of being part of so many people's lives.
Over the last couple of years, life has changed for us as a family in ways we never could have imagined. Our priorities have naturally shifted, and we've realised just how precious time together really is. We want to be able to give our family, and especially our children, more of the time, love and attention that they need. ❤️
Sometimes family has to come first, and we feel this is the right time for us to take a step back and concentrate on what matters most.
A little change to our opening hours (hopefully just for a little bit)
As some of you may know, both of us have had some health concerns this year and Becky has recently spent some time in hospital. We attended an appointment today and we will now have a number of hospital appointments and things to deal with over the coming weeks and months. For this reason, we're going to be making a small change to our opening hours. From now on and for the next little while, on Thursdays and Fridays we'll be opening at 4pm instead of 12 midday.
We hope you understand that this is something we need to do at the moment, as we need to put our health first and give ourselves the time to attend appointments and hopefully get back on track. ❤️
We want to say a massive thank you to every single person who has supported us, walked through our doors, shared a drink, joined in with events and made our time here so special. Whether you've been with us from the beginning or only popped in occasionally, it really does mean the world to us.
We still have six months left, and we're not going anywhere just yet! We intend to enjoy every last minute, make more memories and spend the time we have left with all the wonderful people who have made this journey what it is.
Thank you for being part of our chapter. It really wouldn't have been the same without you!
