We’re excited to kick off the first of many Circuit x The Stag live music nights this Wednesday!

Joining us from 7pm–9pm are The Tellums, bringing an evening of great live music to accompany our usual food service. Whether you’re popping in for dinner, a quick bite, or just a pint at the bar, come along and enjoy some fantastic local talent.

You may have noticed that we’ve gained a bit of extra architecture today!

Our lovely old building is finally getting some much-needed TLC, so scaffolding will be up around parts of the pub over the next couple of weeks while the work takes place.

Please bear with us while the improvements are carried out. We’re very excited to see the results and give The Stag the care it deserves.

The good news? We’re still very much OPEN as usual for food, drinks and all your favourite Stag happenings.

Thank you for your patience and continued support while we spruce up our little corner of Old Town.

Something exciting is happening in The Stag garden! 🌿🍌

We love our garden, and we know many of you do too. While collecting glasses the other day, I spotted something rather unexpected… our banana trees are flowering!

We’ve been watching them bloom over the past few days, and with a bit of luck, we might even end up with some home grown bananas.

It’s been fascinating to see the transformation, and we’d love for you to keep an eye on them with us over the coming weeks. Pop in for a pint, enjoy the garden, and see how they’re getting on!

Friday:
We may not be the official JITG folk host, but the music doesn’t stop here — join us for our own folk session, all welcome from 8pm–12am 🎻

Saturday:
Rattlebag lunchtime sing-around at 3pm — can’t wait to see the girls again 💚

Sunday:
Our classic Sunday lunch service — bookings essential (you know the drill)

Monday:
Doors open from 10am (maybe earlier if we’re ready!)
🔥 BBQ firing from 10am in the side alley — burgers & hotdogs at the ready
