🚨Introducing .hastings our new kitchen residency!
We’ve handed over our kitchen to two of the most exciting chefs in Hastings — a collaboration between two friends, Chef Kim of and Chef Raj of . Two chefs, two distinct culinary heritages, one menu that brings it all together. We are over the moon to have them onboard at The Seadog 🍽️ ⚓️

Kim’s cooking is shaped by her Mauritian family ties, her own English roots, and years spent working in competitive kitchens such as Bao, Borough Market - where she developed a deep fluency in Asian flavours that runs through everything she creates. She and her husband own Tonka in the Old Town, and her arrival in Hastings feels, to us, like fate as we worked with her many years ago in pubs we had in South London!
Chef Raj grew up locally. His family have been a huge part of Hastings’ hospitality scene since the 1990s, and he carries that legacy alongside the family recipes and Indian culinary heritage that define his cooking.
As friends and collaborators, Kim and Raj have created the Kismet menu that crosses borders freely — Mauritian, Indian, Asian, British — without ever losing its sense of place. It’s the kind of food that’s hard to describe and easy to love.
Kismet is open from this Wednesday from 12pm. We can’t wait for you to try the new menu ❤️
