Next up on the sportsman party agenda - Oktoberfest!
Seeing as we do have our own micro brewery in the pub with , it makes so much sense for us to brew some German b**rs & have a good ol’ fashioned Oktoberfest knees up 🍺 🎵 🌭

FRIDAY 25th SEPTEMBER
From 6pm ‘til late

Buy a litre Stein & the first is filled up with purchase!

Fancy dress is highly encouraged! So get your best Oktoberfest inspired outfit on!

The Sportsman pub team SMASHED out THE SOUTH SOUNDS for the 8th year running!

Smiles & good vibes all round, what a crowd! Thank you to those who joined us for an amazing day of great music, dancing, drinking & good times 🥂 🪩 🤍

And where do we begin with the thank yous!

Firstly, the amazing marquee set up! Jack & his team from Out is in Marquees pulled out all the stops to get some shelter up for us to party under! The marquees were amazing, extra tables & chairs were needed - Jack delivered it all and so quickly 👏 ⛺️ 👍

Secondly, the food 😋
Once again we had the fab SOPI Pizza & specsandbear keeping all of our ravers well fed! Delicious pizzas 🍕 and raclette cheese menu 🧀
Thank you as always for supporting the pub and the events ♥️

Next, security 😎
Ozzy & his security were on hand to keep everyone safe (not that they were needed as there was no trouble, just good vibes at the sportsman 😉) so everyone can enjoy the day 👏 24/7 Security Services
And to Luke Malins & his lads for supplying us with the festival fencing 👍

Wow! Where do we begin …

Yesterday we hosted our 17th birthday party and boy, did we party! 🕺

Thank you to all of you who joined us for an amazing afternoon of music, food, sunshine & good times 😎

A HUGE thank you to all the staff who worked their socks off yesterday, you guys were amazing!

The music was just fab!
Mark A.Wright kicked us off with ELVIS! 👑
Always a pleasure having Mark here, a real crowd pleaser & long standing performer ⭐️

Also joining us was Brad Shackleton! Brilliant vocals, fab tunes & acoustic set - a fab way to end an amazing day 😎

Bangs Burgers kept all our party people well fed! The team worked so so hard all day providing delicious food
Again, always such a support, thank you 🤩

What a turnout, Matt & Liv are so chuffed with the attendance and we hope everyone had an amazing time ❤️

We also want to take this opportunity to say thank you;
If we don’t say it enough, we honestly can’t thank our team enough for how hard you work, all year round.
The pub would not be the same without you, you make it what it is along with us and we are forever grateful 🥲 ♥️

👋 NEW FOLLOWERS 👋

Hey! We have had lots of new followers recently which is AMAZING! So we thought we would introduce ourselves 😊

We are Matt & Liv and we run The Sportsman Pub in Goddards Green, West Sussex.
This year will be 17 years since Matt took the pub on, with Liv joining forces for nearly a decade ♥️

We have two lovely daughters / step daughters who work & support us here at the pub, a real family business 😊

Digby & Albert are our two cheeky sausage dogs!

About the pub; The Sportsman has been around for over 200 years, and has always been a public house.
It has seen many changes over the years, and today it still stands as a meeting place for friends & family and strives to be a focus point for an amazing community.
We have a fantastic team who uphold the values & always welcome with a smile, a asset to our pub.

For those of you that don’t know, we are now a brew pub!
The fantastic Steve at KODA Brewing has established an amazing micro brewery right here in the pub! So we are now serving delicious home brew b**rs - if you haven’t tried them yet, then head on down for one (or a few 😉)

So welcome new followers and hello to regulars 🥂
