Langney Community Centre is situated in Etchingham Road, Langney Village, behind the Martello Pub.

Langney Community Centre is run for the benefit of the local community. Within the building we have a large main hall with a stage, pa system, projector, screen and a kitchen equipped with cooker, microwave, crockery and cutlery, available to hire from £12 per hour. The smaller hall at the rear of the building, the Elsie Woolmer Hall (as a tribute to the lady who ran the Village Hall for many years in the past) is now a community cafe with great food at great prices. It can be hired at £10 per hour for meetings outside of cafe opening times. We also have a wellbeing room suitable for one to one appointments or therapies which is only £5 per hour to hire. All rooms have access to toilets, including disabled toilets and baby changing facilities. Disabled access is available at the front and rear of the building. Parking is on street and usually there is plenty of parking around. The exception is at school drop off and pick up times when Etchingham Road does get quite busy. Activities at the centre include Langney Larder, toddler groups, Foodbank, dog training clubs, a youth club run by YMCA and Langney Community Church also hold a weekly service on a Sunday. 🎃 We had a scarily great time at our Halloween Party yesterday!

A huge thank you to everyone who came along and to our amazing volunteers and the guys at Events who helped make the event such a wonderful success. From the fantastic costumes and activities to the smiles and laughter throughout the party it was a truly memorable celebration.

We're especially grateful for the lovely feedback we've received from the families who attended. Your kind words mean so much to us and help make all the hard work worthwhile.

Thank you for being part of our community. We can't wait to see you all again at our next event! 🧡👻🎃

🎃🕷️ What a fantastic time we had at our Halloween-themed Messy Play yesterday! 🕷️🎃

From mixing magical potions and hunting for creepy crawlies to squishing jelly and getting wonderfully messy, there was plenty of fun to be had. It was lovely to see so many happy faces enjoying the activities and getting stuck in!

With Christmas just around the corner, we're thinking about hosting a Christmas-themed Messy Play packed with festive sensory fun, crafts, and messy adventures. 🎄✨

♻️💛 A little reminder about our clothing donation bin
We’re so grateful to everyone who donates their unwanted clothes — it’s a brilliant way to recycle, support charities, and raise funds for the Centre. Every bag really does make a difference.
However, sometimes the bin gets a bit full, and items left around it can make the area look a little unloved. To help us keep the space tidy (and make sure your donations don’t get ruined), here are a few simple things you can do:
🛍️ Pop items into smaller bags
Large bags can jam the opening, meaning fewer donations fit inside.
🚫 Please don’t leave big bags beside the bin
They often get ripped open, the clothes get wet, and sadly they then have to be thrown away.
🚫 No bric‑a‑brac by the clothing bin
The recycling company can’t take these items, so they end up as waste.
🏠 Want to donate directly to the Centre?
Send us a quick message first. We’ll let you know if we have space and arrange a drop‑off time — leaving bags in the lobby or by the front door causes confusion and items can get misplaced.
