Why not relax and enjoy this hot Bank Holiday weekend with us at The Fox Freehouse?

We’re open for lunch, serving our tasty monkfish, veggie or pulled‑pork taco sharing plates — perfect with a glass of something cold or a pint on the terrace. Take in the stunning views across the High Weald, where you can see for miles.

Our menu is full of delicious dishes crafted by Head Chef James Benson and his dedicated team.

A quick note: we’re closed this evening from 5.30pm for a private event, but we’re open as usual tomorrow for Sunday lunch, including our popular roasts or something lighter in the sunshine.

🔥 BANK HOLIDAY BBQ + NEW OPENING HOURS! 🔥

This Bank Holiday Monday (25th May), join us for an all‑day BBQ featuring our spit‑roast suckling pig, served however you fancy it — loaded fries, a soft bap, or a fresh taco. With sunshine on the horizon, it’s the perfect excuse to enjoy a drink on the terrace and take in the sweeping High Weald views.

And a little update…

From this week, our opening hours are changing. We’ll now be closed on Wednesdays and Thursdays, and open on Tuesdays, keeping the village covered every day of the week.
