Well that was a hot one! Thank you to all of you who braved the heat, the bikes, the fallen tree and the accident to get here for Father’s Day, thank you to for being so magical despite nearly melting and making the day so special for so many kids.

If we’ve not all expired in the coming heatwave we will be here again all weekend.

Bratwurst on Friday 6 to 9pm, delicious German bratwurst with various toppings, although the traditional is always the favourite, perfect with a beer.

Saturday is brunch with and the best full English you’ll have along with magic balls (not Andy’s 😆) French crumpets and deep fried cinnamon toast to name a few. 10 to 12 and again Sunday 10 to 2

Saturday and Sunday it’s with the best burgers in Sussex, you’ve not had a burger until you have tried one of these! 12 to 8pm Saturday and 12 to 5pm Sunday (or sell out)
If you missed out taking Dad for the best burger of his life because of the bikes get him over this weekend.

The field will be open so grab your gazebos, wind breaks, parasols, games, footballs, friends and fave family for a day of beer, burgers and ice cream.

Exciting news!!! It’s finally here, our new ice cream freezer!!! It’s been a long wait and more than a bit frustrating but it’s here so this weekend we will have gelato in cones and tubs. 12 flavours from apple crumble to Oreo to cherry ripple there will be one you love ❤️ 🍦

Don’t forget Sunday is the London to Brighton bike ride, I wish they’d choose any day but Father’s Day!
Anyway, plan your route, if you are coming from Haywards Heath way then come through Horsted Keynes, not too much of a problem, coming from Crawley side, you will have to cross them but do so at turners hill, go straight over and then up vowels lane.
Don’t let those cyclists stop you getting burgers and beer!!

This weekend it’s all about the special men in your life. Dads, stepdads, stepped ups, grandads, brothers, let’s hear it for the boys!
We have a happy place for them all and everybody who wants to come with them. The Tap Room is all booked out but bookings are now open for the field, this does mean though that if it rains (which it won’t) we might not be able to fit you in the tap room so please bear that in mind.
It’s only the 21st that’s super busy so why not come when it’s quieter (and the London to Brighton bike rides not on) we’ve something every day.

Friday 5 to 9 it’s with their wood fired beauties

Saturday it’s brunch with 10 to 12 and then the most stupendous burgers from 12 to 8 (or sell out)

Sunday and the big day it’s Brunch (sold out)
Then and pizza 12 to 5 with the brilliant with shows and walk around magic from 2.30. It’s going to be magical.

Well that was some shocking summer weather! In a glimmer of sunshine though made a glowing debut with some of the best southern fried chicken we have ever tried. I especially loved all the sides, the pickles really balanced the deep fried chicken and Rachel, our new favourite Texan is back with us on Friday!

Cakes will also return, we lost Becky to the South of England show this weekend but she’s back where she belongs and will be baking for the cake counter. What should she make??

Friday 6 to 9pm

Saturday 12 to 8 and Sunday 12 to 5 is serving up all their dirty goodness.

We are sorry but there will be no brunch on Sunday, bookings are closed but it is on the list. We will call all those with reservations.

We hope to keep the field open but sadly it’s pretty soggy again, fingers crossed for a dry week.

The sun has retreated a little, which for me is a good thing, the cool breeze is very welcome.
This weekend we welcome on Friday and Sunday Southern American food authentically made with fresh Sussex produce.

Saturday it’s and the best burgers in at the very least Sussex!
We will be closed from 6 for a private event in the tap room on Saturday but the field will stay open until sunset.

It’s The South of England Show this weekend so why not pop in after for great food and drink. Bring games for the field, footballs or jenga, cricket or water pistols!

We are still waiting for a new ice cream freezer but hopefully it will arrive this week for us to fill with gelato!
