Our restaurant offers an outstanding menu of the highest-quality, locally-sourced produce, cooked to perfection by our in-house chefs. With a welcoming, roaring fire, the restaurant is cosy and intimate, the perfect place to enjoy the sensational and wide ranging selection of fine food. We have two bars which both have a warm and friendly atmosphere and are well stocked with locally brewed beers.

We’re celebrating local root vegetables, squashes, and deep, earthy beetroots taking center stage with our brand-new autumn vegetarian offerings:

🥣 Autumn Vegetable Broth – Roasted squash and root vegetables brought together in a rich mushroom broth, served with warm homemade bread.

🍁 Seared Butternut Medallions – Butternut squash medallions finished with a mushroom glaze, paired with chestnut purée, pickled blackberries, and toasted pumpkin seeds.

🍛 Thai Beetroot & Chickpea Curry – A fragrant, warming Thai green curry packed with beetroot, chickpeas, and wilted spinach.

Autumn has arrived at The Wyvill Arms, and we are thrilled to unveil our new seasonal menu. As the nights draw in, we've shifted our focus to rich, warming flavors and the very best local North Yorkshire produce.

We’ve crafted this menu to bring you elevated, comforting dishes for the colder months. A few highlights include:

Venison Loin: Served on a haggis crumb with spiced braised red cabbage, pickled blackberries, and a rich Port Jus.

Black Dub Beef Stew and Dumplings: A hearty homemade beef stew slowly cooked with Wensleydale Breweries "Black dub" stout, finished with horseradish suet dumplings.

Pan-seared Queen Scallops: Paired with a brown butter celeriac puree, pancetta-hazelnut crumb, and fresh diced apple and fennel.

Seared Butternut Medallions: Featuring a mushroom glaze, chestnut puree, and pickled blackberries.

Pork Cheeks: Slowly braised with sherry to create a melt-in-the-mouth dish, served with a coarse grain mustard mash.
