❤️ A message appreciation for the woman behind it all…. Steph!
Sometimes I think people see the pub and everything that comes with running it, but they don’t always see the person behind the scenes who makes so much of it possible.
My Mrs, my business partner, and the mother of my children deserves so much more credit than she probably gets.
You might not always see her behind the bar or working in the restaurant, but the truth is, the Pig and Whistle wouldn’t be where it is today without her. There is so much that goes on behind the scenes that people never get to see. From designing and creating our food menus and drinks lists, putting together advertisements, sending and replying to emails, keeping on top of the accounts, and making sure everything is running as it should, she has her hands in so many parts of the business.
But more than all of that, she gives me the time and freedom to put the hours, effort and energy into the pub when it needs me most. While I’m busy trying to build the business and make things happen, she’s there making sure everything else is taken care of, including looking after our two beautiful children.
I honestly don’t think people realise how much she carries on her shoulders. Being a mum, a partner, a business partner and keeping everything together is no easy task, and she does it without always getting the recognition she deserves.
Behind every late night, every busy weekend, every new idea and every step forward with the pub, there is so much that she does to make it possible.
I’m incredibly lucky to have someone who believes in what we’re building, supports me the way she does, and keeps our family going while we chase our goals.
The Pig and Whistle might be the business people see, but she is a huge part of the reason it works.
Thank you for everything you do for me, for our children and for our future. I might not say it enough, and I might get caught up in the day-to-day madness, but I see you, I appreciate you, and I couldn’t do this without you.
You’re not just my Mrs. You’re my partner in life, my partner in business, and the backbone of so much of what we’re building together.
