Blessed with unreal sunshine, packed gardens, flowing pints and our very first race weekend in our beautifully refurbished pub — we’d say it’s been a barrel of a weekend 😉

Judging by the mountain of empty kegs, we’ve managed to keep you all well hydrated 😅🍻

A huge thank you to our incredible staff for powering through the heat, and to all our loyal regulars, familiar faces and new visitors who stopped by to see us at The Pig & Whistle this weekend ☀️

We’re looking for street food traders to pop up with us at The Pig & Whistle in Cartmel this summer.

We love bringing something a bit different to the village plus good food, good beer, good atmosphere and a beer garden full of happy people pretending they’ll “just have one.”

Over the last few years our pop-up food nights have gone down an absolute treat and now we’re looking for fresh traders to help keep the Pig fed and the Whistle blowing all summer long.

Whether you’re flipping burgers, firing pizzas, folding tacos or serving something completely unique, we’d love to hear from you.

What’s on offer?
🍺 Busy village pub with a cracking beer garden
🌞 Outdoor bar area for service
👨‍🍳 Potential use of our kitchen OR your own setup outside
📅 Opportunity for one-off pop-ups or regular summer dates
🕰️ Mondays & Tuesdays when our kitchen is closed.

Join us at The Pig & Whistle, Cartmel for a fantastic evening of local cheeses, perfectly paired wines, and great company — all while raising money for two incredible hospitality charities supporting our industry.

🎤 A guided tasting experience with the Wine Ambassador from , talking you through each pairing

❤️ Only a Pavement Away - a fantastic charity that looks to support individuals looking to rebuild their lives through employment opportunities in the hospitality sector.

❤️ The Licensed Trade Charity which supports hundreds of pub, bar & brewery people facing crisis with practical, emotional & financial support - a charity which we are personally able to reach out to after our recent fire for support - so these charities are really incredible.

This event is running alongside Robinsons’ “Pedalling to Pubs” charity bike ride initiative — making it a brilliant opportunity to support hospitality charities while enjoying a memorable night out.
