The bank holiday weekend is nearly here… and so is absolute carnage.
It’s the first race meeting of the year, the sun is apparently making a guest appearance, Grange will be flooded with racegoers, and because there’s not a lot else to do around here besides drink, the keg could well be fighting for its life.
A gentle reminder: we can all be friends this weekend. We don’t want bad reviews because the locals were “staring” — some of them genuinely can’t help it, it’s just their face. Also, expect the occasional bit of colourful language. For some of our regulars, swearing isn’t bad manners… it’s simply their first language.
If you’re planning on ordering takeaway, get in early and book a slot. Between the racing, football, beer, and general bank holiday confusion, we’ve got a lot going on.
If we can all survive that, we might even manage a lovely relaxing week afterwards.
