It's been a great vibe all week. Thanks to all the guy n gals of the Alvechurch Cycling club for making last night a top one! Top Vibes!

On Sunday it's a big Midlands derby. Blues Vs Wolves kicks off at 12pm. So I will be opening the doors 10 mins earlier.
Our ace crusty cobs are back on all weekend and I thought i'd throw in a quick pic of my new Guinness top that I'm chuffed with. Unfortunately not a freebie off the brewery, just I have a mother with very good taste!

After an amazing bank holiday weekend. Thank you to everyone who came and enjoyed the cracking atmosphere. The sun is back out and shining on the Swan's beautiful b**r garden. So please come and join us this afternoon/evening for some nice refreshing drinks.
It's nice to see the Sun back out again, it was like we reverted back to the typical ol British summertime in the last week. I felt like a cricket groundsman at Edgbaston over the weekend. Covers on, covers off!

I don't normally do advertisements for other businesses. But this is different. Susan and Darren have been a pillar of strength for me since taking on the role of landlord at The Swan Inn, Alvechurch. You couldn't meet a nicer couple and the shop is a blessing to our village. If you haven't been, then please go and check it out, it's stunning. I had my family visit me at the pub last weekend for the first time and I loved it. I also had to buy my mum this beautiful bouquet from the lovely Susan. It's a great village. So please support local. Thanks all.

Good morning to the fine people of Alvechurch. Had an excellent evening last night. Don't know what you guys have done to me, but cheered when Blues scored that winner. Need to give my head a wobble there. But seriously great seeing all you last night and great performance. If anyone see's Phil and Sydney today (Wrexham fan), buy the poor guy a proper job. Sooo we have another Super Saturday. It's the turn of the Baggies today (in great form). 12:30pm kick off and live at the Swan of course. Speaking of great form Alvechurch fc are at home today against Racing Club Warwick, so be great to see you guys before and after the game, and hopefully another 3 points for the mighty Church! Come try some of our new crusty cobs too! If you're stuck for things to do tomorrow aka Bank Holiday Sunday. Well it's going off big time tomorrow at The Swan Inn, Alvechurch . We have the amazing DJ Mick blasting out the tunes and you can request what you want too (within reason. No broken glass by Annie Lennox please- Scouse Tony). Even better you can even get up and sing later on if you have the minerals. Yes Karaoke back at the Swan....finally boom 💥. Hope to see you all over the weekend. What is this thing they call rain? Ah well it maybe wet outside, but it's nice and dry in the pub. We have a great selection of ales on atm. A new one this week is the Wadworth Horizon (4% abv) - A crisp golden ale from Wiltshire. It's a tough old job being chief taste tester, but i can confirm it's a lovely drop indeed.....hic. To go with our regulars HPA, Proper Job and Purity Mad Goose. Now that is now a solid back four! (Unlike the Villa's atm). We also have loads of other great drink options, so hopefully I'll be seeing you all soon. Cheers Nick

Wow! What an amazing night. Eddie and Izzy were phenomenal! What great talents. Thank's soooo much to each and everyone who came yesterday. The atmosphere was electric and you all played a massive part. I think live music on a Saturday night is the way forward, because you guys n gals embraced it to the max. Was it Wayne's World where they said. 'Book them and they will come'? Well it's Super Sunday today. Baggies on at 12pm. The mighty Aston Villa at 2pm and will there be another sob on the Tyne when Newcastle Utd take on Liverpool at 4:30pm. Also cobs are back and they sold out quicker than an oasis gig yesterday! They are amazing. So come on down and tuck into one of Amy's baps! See you all soon hopefully. Cheers Nick

Super excited for this. I've always wanted to bring live music back to the Swan......and it's BACK! On Saturday evening (from 8pm), local talent Eddie will be playing all the pub classics alongside guest singer Izzy in our main lounge. We've got some exciting new drinks too (more to come on this). Was amazing to see the pub packed out last weekend and would love to see that again. So it'd be great to have your continued support and hopefully see some new faces too.
