After 5 years at the BGI and 11 and a half with M&B, today is my last shift working in a pub! 🥹
Because of this job, I have made friends for life, met my life partner and have so many amazing memories I’ll cherish forever.
Hospitality really isn’t just a job, it’s a lifestyle, and one that I have loved being a part of. So today might be my last day but I certainly won’t be far; I might even get to spend more time on the other side of the bar!🙌🏻

Today we say goodbye to our Assistant Manager, Hayleigh ❤️
Over the past 12 months, since I’ve been lucky enough to be the General Manager here at BGI, I’ve had the pleasure of working closely with Hayleigh, and there’s so much I want to say thank you for.
One thing that really stands out to me is everything you’ve done behind the scenes to make BGI the place it is.
From Team Member of the Month posts, showcasing our new food and drinks, promoting our events and live music, and keeping our guests up to date with everything great happening at BGI, you’ve put so much time, effort and creativity into making sure our team and our venue get the recognition they deserve. ❤️
And watching you today, setting up a wedding breakfast for a newly married couple, has really reminded me just how much effort you’ve put into the events and special occasions we host here at BGI.
From weddings and celebrations to all the little details that make someone’s special day memorable, you’ve always been someone who puts the effort in to make things happen- often behind the scenes, without expecting any recognition for it.
That’s just one part of everything you’ve contributed over your 5 years with us. Your experience, support, dedication and all the little things you’ve done to make BGI better will be massively missed by both the team and myself.
11 years with Mitchells & Butlers is an incredible achievement, and we’re so proud to have been a part of the last 5. ❤️
