The Clytha Arms is in its 33 year of trading with Andrew, Bev, Sarah & Roger at the heart of this country pub, with its warm friendly atmosphere open log fires, sofas and settles make for an inviting comfortable pub & restaurant. The Clytha Arms was voted Country Pub of the Year 2025 in Gwent while highly commend by The Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA). We are also celebrating 25 years of being featured in the CAMRA Good Beer Guide. We have 3 rooms ensuite and also allow camper van parking over night Free if you eat with us

You can pop in for a pint and tapas or full three course Sunday lunch with our extensive wine list. Whatever takes your fancy. Head Chef is Andrew Canning, assisted by daughter Sarah and her partner Roger Cottrell. We are just outside the historic town of Abergavenny - 10 miles away from Monmouth. We are within walking distance of Raglan castle (3 miles)
and only 40 minutes drive from the capital city of Cardiff, with its many historical attractions and superb shopping facilities. Locally we have golf and fishing available on request. We have over 2 acres of land, open spaces and gardens. We are based right at the mouth of several national park walks & a very good cycling area

We have three rooms, including a large four poster room, all en suite (bath and shower taps) with TV, DVD and specialist tea/coffee facilities. We can also offer a private room for small conferences with video facilities and refreshments as required. We have a large bar area, lounge, dining room which seats up to 60 people and our function room which seats up to 20 people

Hi I'm Sarah from the clytha arms

We are closing the kitchen. Tuesday 22nd Sept evening
& Wed 23rd all day

Luckly 13 days ago i found out I have a brain tumour
As in they have found him in my head .... he caused me to have a seizure at the pub so this isn't private or a problem people knowing

I am going into hospital next Tuesday to have Terry as I have named him removed as much as they can for me hopfully all of him !!

Anyway that's all by the by !
I am not ill 🤒 and feel quite well

But we will be closing the kitchen so mum and dad can be with me while I'm in hospital my wonderful staff are keeping the bar open

I can only apologise to you all that you won't get to eat Andrew's awesome food until Thursday lunchtime

Thanks for understanding and see u all on the flip side !!
Won't be long and I will be back out on my gorgeous pony and back in work again !!

I'm going to try and stop comments on here cos I know u all care and I've had sooo much support already ♥️
