⚡️NEW SUPPORT ACT⚡️
One Leg One Eye (ie), support: bandschlupf // One Leg One Eye bandschlupf
ambient | folk | drone | experimental
bandschlupf is a duo making improvised music that moves between drone, ambient, and noise, with traces of folk and breakbeats. Their sound is built around unique effects, loopers, bowed mountain banjo, electric mandolin, field recordings and weird audio toys. They have released music on Microrama Records (Paris, France) and independently, created sound works for exhibitions in Hamburg and Berlin, performed at the Blurred Edges Festival, the Chaos Computer Club and in various clubs in Hamburg and Italy, among other places.
One Leg One Eye is the project of Ian Lynch (founding member of Irish group Lankum) and George Brennan, exploring submerged leylines of music and song, drawing on the raw aesthetics of black metal, noise and drone, while also being deeply imbued with a sense of history and myth.
Witness the duo drag traditional Irish music through the most severe of voidic territories, flensing it to its blackest marrow. Over the course of their AD93 Recs releases, layers of distorted pipe drones and jagged metal textures are pressed with intensely processed field recordings, folk elements brought to their heaviest fundamental frequencies. When performed live the duo deconstructs traditional song structures entirely, focusing on sustained pitch manipulation and massive walls of resonance that alter the physical perception of the room and leave the mind feeling entirely untethered.
