Yering Station

Yering Station Victoria's First Vineyard located in the picturesque Yarra Valley. Cellar Door + Restaurant + Private Tastings + Gardens + Wine Club + Art Gallery
(2642)

Victoria's first vineyard, Yering Station, is located in the 'heart' of the Yarra Valley only one hour’s drive from Melbourne. The property offers an unforgettable wine and food experience. Set amongst breathtaking views, superb architecture and beautifully kept gardens, it is a Yarra Valley destination not-to-be-missed. Originally planted in 1838, the historical wine estate was purchased by the Rathbone family in 1996, marking the beginning of a new era with the construction of a state-of-the-art winery and award-winning wine tourism destination. Planted with our key varieties, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Shiraz, Yering Station remains true to its heritage as a family-owned and operated winery dedicated to producing wines of quality and distinction and has been awarded ‘International Winemaker of the Year’ at the prestigious International Wine and Spirit Competition in London. The winery has been further recognised for its commitment to excellence with an induction into the Australian Tourism Awards ‘Hall of Fame’. The Wine Bar Restaurant is stylish and relaxed and is set within spectacular architecture opening out to expansive views of the Yarra Ranges. A seasonal menu is designed by Yering Station’s Head Chef Laura Webb, featuring regional produce creatively used in contemporary style dishes. The Yering Station Cellar Door offers the visitor a myriad of experiences... Enjoy tasting wine with the informative staff at the historic Cellar Door, browse the Produce Store, view the visual delights of the Art Gallery or just relax with a glass of Yarrabank Cuvee in Matt’s Bar.

J&J, captured by .photography.

The couple opted for a romantic ceremony held within the heritage-listed barn, where rustic character met a palette of softened pastels. Portraits followed beneath our avenue of historic Elm trees, aptly planted centuries ago for Paul de Castella's bride, before the couple descended into our underground cellar for moments framed by our wines in barrel. As evening arrived, guests gathered in our signature restaurant for a candlelit affair with a list of our finest wines, curated dinner menu and a celebration that carried effortlessly into the night.

Limited 2026 and 2027 wedding availability remains. Enquire with our Events today today via phone or email.

The first wines of Vintage 2026 are beginning to emerge, led by our just-released 2026 Little Yering Dry Rosé which is now available to enjoy.

Enjoy bright pink berries, juicy watermelon and a floral perfume woven into a crisp, energetic palate. A lattice of fine, chalky tannins make for a long and refreshing finish.

While every bottle tells a story of season and place, 2026's wines carry something extra: the story of a team navigating one of the Yarra Valley's most unpredictable vintages in recent memory.

Challenging conditions meant the rulebook was often set aside in favour of intuition, experience and patient observation. Each day brought new decisions, with vineyard and winery teams working together to respond in real time and capture every parcel at its best.

Shop our 2026 Little Yering Dry Rosé now—available at yering.com and in retail nationwide.

"Red fruits and rose petal aromas are to the fore, while the palate is juicy, framed by gentle tannins and acidity. Very nicely done."

Another milestone in our biodiversity journey. This work marks, the planting of 1,000 natives at our Spring Lane vineyard and 6,000 across our wider family of vines this year. Together with last year's plantings, we've now established more than 12,500 natives over the past two years, all of which will strengthen habitat corridors, support local wildlife and enhance the long term resilience of our vineyard landscapes.

A sincere thank you to our incredible team and partners who bring this work to life. In partnership with Tree Project, Ribbons of Green and Yarra Ranges Council.

A week on, and we're still reflecting on a truly memorable Annual Reserve Wine Dinner.

From the personal stories and reflections shared by our makers, to the thoughtfully curated menu that illuminated each wine, the evening was a beautiful celebration of our quartet of Reserve wines and their journey to bottle. Each Reserve wine told its own story, revealed course by course throughout the evening. Thank you to everyone who joined us in celebrating these special wines.
