Did you know the story of our estate begins not in Coldstream, but on the banks of the Yarra in Melbourne?

In 1860, Swiss pioneer Hubert De Castella took vine cuttings from the Airlie Bank vineyard on Punt Road and planted 200 acres in Coldstream, on land that would later become the original St Hubert's vineyard and, eventually, the home of Punt Road Wines.

Now under the custodianship of the Napoleone family, that legacy continues into the fourth generation.
Our name carries that history with it. Every vintage is a nod to the growers who came before us.

The Napoleone Cider Bar will be pouring from 12–5pm (weather permitting) across the long weekend, so if you’re heading to the Yarra Valley, drop in for a glass of estate-grown cider.

Saturday is Australian Cider Day, and we’re celebrating with two new releases from our Louis range, available exclusively at the estate:

🍋 Louis Yuzu & Lime
🫚 Louis Ginger

Our family has been farming in the Yarra Valley since 1948 and making cider on the estate since 2008, so a day celebrating Australian cider feels pretty close to home.

Opening next weekend, 22 and 23 November, the new Napoleone Cider Bar sits just behind in a sunlit garden space overlooking the family’s vines and orchards.
