We are absolutely heartbroken to inform our community that Odd Culture was robbed this morning. At around 5:30am, an unknown person forced their way into the venue, ransacked the office and forced open our safe, stealing thousands in cash and staff tips, as well as wine from our vintecs. Thankfully nobody was in the venue at the time and our staff and contractors are all okay. Police are currently investigating, and if you know anything, we’d encourage you to please contact Newtown Police Station on 02 9550 8132 and report what you know.

We’re sharing this as a warning for our neighbours and broader Newtown community and to encourage our neighbours to stay alert, check their security, and report any suspicious activity directly to police.

Images are shared with faces blurred for legal reasons, and are for awareness purposes only.

First up: Katoomba Gold — beeswax-washed Bombay Sapphire gin with amontillado sherry, fermented honey and vetiver, stirred down and finished with raw honeycomb.

Inspired by our annual escape to the Blue Mountains and a ritual visit to , it captures the calm, the cold air, and the kind of landscape that lingers.
