One year of whisky. One night by the fire. 🥃🔥

Camberwell Whisky Chamber is turning ONE.

To celebrate, we’re opening the Chamber for a special Peat & Smoke Night — six seriously smoky whiskies, a cheese board, a roaring fireplace and a relaxed guided tasting with Nicholas.

No formal tasting-room atmosphere. Just great whisky, good conversation and a warm seat by the fire.

Whisky of the week!
Two whiskies, couldn’t be more different this week.

Ode to the Embers is peated. Smoke, bonfire on the beach, then something sweeter sneaks in underneath. Peat doesn’t have to mean harsh.

Ode to the Dark is the opposite. Moody, rich, built for slow sipping after dark. Dried fruit, chocolate, a little spice.

One’s a campfire. One’s a fireplace. Grab both and pick your mood.

Arran doesn’t do things the old way. The distillery only opened in 1995, tucked into the north end of the island, and it’s spent thirty years proving that young doesn’t mean thin. The 10 Year Old is where that shows best.

This is unpeated, matured mostly in ex-bourbon casks, and it drinks like the island itself: fresh, breezy, a little wild. Expect green apple and pear up front, a wash of vanilla and malt, then a soft peppery snap on the finish. Nothing here is trying to impress you with age or price. It’s just honest, well made whisky.

if you think single malt has to be smoky or expensive to be serious, Arran 10 is the whisky that changes your mind. It’s a great entry dram for someone new to whisky, and a nice palate cleanser for someone who’s been drinking peated stuff for years and forgot how good bright and fruity can taste.
