Released once a year in tiny numbers, Pappy is the bourbon collectors wait years for and most people never get to try. We’re walking you through the full Van Winkle range, from the bold, high proof 15 to the rare and layered 23, with our team sharing the story of the family and their famous wheated recipe along the way.

Saturday 17 Oct, Hey Gr**go with Charlie Bedford. 9pm till late, $8 entry.

Sunday 18 Oct, Skrewball Sundays featuring Mike Elrington. 7pm till 9pm and free entry, so there’s no excuse not to ease into the week properly.

Wh***ey Wednesday is on in The Vault.

Every Wednesday from 6:30pm to 8:30pm, we open The Vault for a couple of hours of rare pours and good conversation. Tastings are complimentary, so pull up a stool by the barrel and taste your way through the back bar.

Next week we've got company. Max Borrowman, Brand Ambassador at Spirits Platform, joins us in The Vault on Wednesday 14 October for one night only. Come down early, grab a seat and say hello.

Andy McGarvie leads the charge all month with very special guests dropping in along the way, including Jimi Hocking on the 8th and Geoff Achison on the 15th.

Spring's in full swing and the basement's got a packed dance card. 🎷🥃

October in the Basement is locked in. Here's what we're most excited about.

Every Thursday: Funked Up Guitar Fest with Andy McGarvie and very special guests, including Jimi Hocking on the 8th and Geoff Achison on the 15th.

Sat 3: Acclaimed blues rock artist Simon Kinny-Lewis (NSW) makes his long-awaited return on tour, backed by a powerhouse rhythm section of Robb Dabb on bass, Tony Boyd on drums and Liam Kealy on keys. Known for his work with US guitar legend Robben Ford on "King Biscuit", Simon's bringing tracks from his new album "Pouring Water On A Drowning Man". Expect epic tunes, soaring solos and steady grooves.

Fri 9: Backwood Creatures, Melbourne's psychedelic swamp blues trio. Guitar driven riffs, rich vocals, and a live show PBS Radio compared to Hendrix, Tony Joe White and Zeppelin rolled into one.

Fri 16: Oscar Ladell Band, fresh off their US tour.

Sat 17: Hey Gr**go bring New Orleans style jazz and blues to the basement.

Skrewball Sundays stay free entry every week, with Brett Franke Trio (4th), Anna Scionti Duo (11th), Mike Elrington (18th) and 2Tones Duo (25th).

Plus big weekend sets from The Adam Waldron Trio, The Jump Cats, Cam Walter Blues, Vic Polyik's Dustwave Saints, The Blow Out, Blues Bus and more.
