Growing families come with growing appetites.

Luckily, Thursday is one of our favourite nights of the week.

Bring the whole family to the dob and enjoy a relaxed dinner together, with kids eating free when you purchase two main meals.

More family time.
Less fuss.

We'll have a table waiting for you.

There was a time when Wednesday meant...
..meeting at the local.

No reason.
No occasion.

Just a good meal, a familiar face and a chance to catch up.

Tomorrow, make Wednesday your pub night again with half-price pork ribs and chicken bites at dob.

Some traditions are worth bringing back. ❤️

"Everyone has their steak order..."

Medium rare.
Extra pepper.
No sauce.
Always sauce.

Everyone has their way.

Tomorrow, however you like your steak, we'll throw in your favourite topper for free - or take $5 off your steak if you'd rather keep it simple.

Because Tuesdays deserve a little extra.

See you tomorrow folks!

Every week, we see the same familiar faces walk through the door on a Monday.

Some order before they even sit down.

Some know exactly where they're going to sit.

And some still pretend they'll try something different... before ordering the schnitty again. 😄

We'll see you tomorrow. 😊

I’ll always respect how each person chooses to manage their coeliac disease.

The Duke exists because I wanted people to feel safe. To ask questions. To learn. To sit down for a meal without doing the mental maths first. To belong somewhere.

Every so often though, I hear the comments that get thrown at people in our community, usually from other coeliacs:

“You don’t take your coeliac seriously.”
“If you cared about your health you’d never eat out.”
“Just stay home.”
“You’re setting a bad example.”

Those ones sting.

Not because someone disagrees with me. We all sit at different comfort levels, and that’s fair enough.

What hurts is when disagreement turns into judgement.

A dear friend once said to me, “My coeliac is not your coeliac.” I love that, because it’s true.

Some people only eat at home. Some only eat at dedicated gluten free venues. Some do their research, ask the questions, and decide they’re comfortable. All of those are legitimate calls.

None of them give any of us the right to shame someone else’s.

The world already questions whether coeliac disease is real. It already waves off cross contamination. We already fight hard enough to be understood out there.

Let’s not fight each other in here.

The Duke is 100% gluten free. Just as importantly, it’s a place where you can ask, learn and share without being judged for it.

Pull up a chair.

Some tables go quiet when the food arrives.

Not because nobody has anything to say...

Because everyone's trying to claim the best bits first. 😄

Our antipasto was made for sharing (or at least pretending to).

So settle the debate... what's the first thing you're reaching for?

🧀 Cheese
🥩 Salami
