For our next Blind at Bertha tasting on First Thursday, 3 September, we’d love to invite one creator + a guest to join us complimentary, in exchange for a selection of photos and short-form video content capturing the evening.

Danielle will lead an intimate group of just 20 guests through our monthly blind w**e tasting — the perfect setting for beautiful, authentic content.

Two exceptionally rare w**es from The Sadie Family’s experimental project, Pontak & Counoise, now available to enjoy with us in Stellenbosch.

Produced in extremely limited quantities and bottled in magnum, these lighter reds offer a fascinating glimpse into Eben Sadie’s exploration of lesser-known varieties, with a focus on freshness, finesse and character.

Join us at Bertha W**e Bar on 3 September for another intimate Blind at Bertha tasting, this time dedicated to the lighter, more elegant side of red w**e.

We’re putting power aside and focusing on freshness, finesse, perfume and personality.

You’ll taste a carefully selected line-up of lighter red w**es completely blind, without labels, prices or preconceived ideas influencing your judgement.

Danielle will guide you through the tasting, revealing the cultivars, w**es and stories behind the producers as the evening unfolds.

All you need to do is trust your palate, challenge your assumptions and decide which w**es deserve a place at the top of your list.

What to expect:
• A guided blind tasting of carefully selected light reds
• Stories behind the w**es and their producers
• A relaxed, intimate and humorous tasting experience

Pontak forms part of The Sadie Family’s Experimental Project and is an exceptionally limited release, with only 260 magnums bottled.

Legendary Sadie Family W**es, have turned heads once again with Counoise, an exceptionally rare release from an experimental vineyard planted in 2016.

Only 483 individually numbered magnums were bottled, and Bertha W**e Bar is privileged to be one of a select few establishments pouring this elusive w**e by the glass.

No bottles for sale. No collecting dust in a cellar. This w**e was made to be opened, shared and experienced.
