The bar unites guests of independent spirit with independent producers handcrafting small-lot wine. At the helm are the limited-release Montegray wines, crafted from parcels of long-forgotten vines, which take guests on a journey through the Cape Winelands. Joining them to showcase the depth and quality of wine throughout South Africa, will sit a changing selection of guest wines from premium prod
ucers. The first release Montegray wines are a benchmark of Cape quality. The diverse collection includes Syrah, Grenache, Chenin Blanc, Petit Verdot and a Grenache Blanc Rousanne white blend. The Montegray wines owe their craft to the conservation of the rich Cape biosphere, to honour this, a seeded tag will be gifted with every bottle of wine bought, allowing guests to re-invigorate their own flora. On offer will be a rotating selection of small plates. Designed to be simple, pure and unpretentious, The delicious wine-friendly morsels will include cured ceviche, seasonal spring rolls, prawn tempura and homemade bellinis. The bar itself has been meticulously put together with decadence and relaxation in mind. Adorned with a mirrored bold brass bar, feature art deco lights, deep green plush velvet seating, Ardmore printed walls and striking artworks, wine sippers will enjoy a touch of timeless glamour in the double aspect space. Everyone is encouraged to enjoy wine on their own terms, with this in mind wines will be available to take away. Additionally, a monthly discovery wine box will be offered, featuring a mixture of Montegray wines and our guest wines.
