Welcome to the heart of the Bell. This stunning dining area is the original part of the Brass Bell building and dates back to 1939. From its humble beginnings as a tea room to the now beautifully styled dining area with an elegantly relaxed atmosphere, the Brass Bell Grill is a popular and well-loved gem. An all-weather venue, with sea-facing windows running the full length of the restaurant, boasts views throughout and offers a nostalgic look over Kalk Bay harbour and False Bay, rain or shine, and is the ideal location for special events and functions. Seating 60 people, and offering the very best of the Bell’s cuisine, we invite you to relax in the comfortable surroundings and enjoy a leisurely meal, and our warm hospitality. Adjoined to the Brass Bell Grill is the Elevated Captains Deck. Located higher than any of the other sections at the Bell, it offers the same a la carte menu as the Grill, while affording our patrons a birds-eye view of the sea and surrounds. The Captains Deck, with its fresh air approach and an alfresco atmosphere, is a smoking section and seats 40. The Bikini Deck
Food Fun Sea and Sun! Welcome to the Bikini Deck and Cocktail Bar, our premier venue for all of the Bell’s live entertainment. The Bikini Deck stage plays host to some of South Africa’s best up and coming bands, and has over the years seen the likes of Johnny Clegg, Wendy Oldfield, Taxi Violence, Nomadic Orchestra, and Arno Castens take the stage to enthusiastic crowds. Offering seating right along the tidal pools, it is a great venue for long lazy days in the sun or cosy evenings of fun with friends. Enjoy one of our signature cocktails, and delicious gastro-pub menu, while watching the surfers and whales, or soaking up the spectacular sounds of local musical talent. The Bikini Deck seats 140, is smoking and spills out into the tidal pools. Its vibrant atmosphere coupled with its ideal location, make it a must for fun and always memorable experiences. The Cabin restaurant which is adjoined to the local Cabin pub has a charm that is unsurpassed and has been noted in many a publication. It is a small and cosy dining area, seating 40 and non -smoking, with fantastic views literally surrounding you. This dining area, is a local favourite, intimate and relaxed, with a touch of fun! Be welcomed by our friendly staff, and enjoy some of the freshest seafood fare while being whisked away to the tranquil sounds of the waves crashing below. The world-renowned Waters Edge Terrace of the Brass Bell needs no introduction. Located downstairs and outside, there is no better place to sit and relax, while soaking up the sun and surf. Built into the sea wall, the deck seating goes right onto the tidal pool edge and offers guests an unforgettable experience right on the water... so close in fact that often the waves wash up into the venue! Raised above the bustling Terraces below, is our stunning Pavilion. This glass-encased gazebo, seats 50, is non-smoking and has magnificent panoramic views that will take your breath away. Located directly above the tidal pools, with floor to ceiling glass windows, and a soundtrack of the rolling waves below, It’s calming and unassuming atmosphere, will whisk your worries away, as you indulge in the delicious menu offerings and superb wine selection.
