Heartfelt condolences to Tania Moses Cedras and extended family on the passing of Tony Cedras. A musical giant who took his and our music to the world stages. Tony did so with great love and pride and carried the music as a representative of the South African sound. He never claimed it as just his but shared it on behalf of his musical brothers and sisters. He regaled the world not only with his tales but also command, sensitivity and beauty of the musical instruments he played. He was one of South Africa’s true and unselfish musical ambassadors. RIP Tony Cedras.

WE ARE MOVING.
After an unprecedented 18 months of live performances Urban Soul is relocating to a new venue. From 31 July we will end our chapter at 2 York Rd Muizenberg. We are excited to embark on a new phase in our vision of curated live jazz. Our new premises will be more conducive to larger seating capacity, bigger music ensembles and our plan to record and stream live in real time across the world. We will take an end of winter break and emerge in summer with a new exciting programme. Watch this space for pop up events and news on our new jazz digs. It’s been a blast but now for the next level.
