Our name represents two of our main attributes – cooking with open flame (FIRE) and full service bar (BREW). We prepare the majority of our menu items using our open flame Fire Deck oven which is visible to our customers as they dine in our upscale, yet cozy dining room. Our full-service bar provides our guest with a full line of alcoholic drinks, including several local microbrews on draft. Our automated wine dispensing units provide a one of a kind opportunity for our guests to choose any of our 24 specialty wines by the taste, half glass, or full glass pour. Giving them a very cost effective opportunity to try different wines during their visit without having to order a full glass or bottle. Our simple yet highly desirable and affordable menu allows our guests to return often without feeling like they emptied their wallet. Whether ordering their favorite menu items over and over again, or trying something new our guests will love dining at FIREBREW. FIREBREW is the creation of Dean and Sue Gonsior, the former area developers for all Tropical Smoothie Cafes (TSCs) in the Hampton Roads, VA market. In 2001, the Gonsiors opened their first TSC unit and in less than nine years and 38 units later, they branded TSC from an unknown concept to household name throughout Hampton Roads, VA. In 2010, the Gonsiors seized the opportunity to transition from the quick casual to full service restaurant concept and sold their TSC area development rights and began finalizing their plans to bring FIREBREW to Hampton Roads. Their first FIREBREW restaurant opened on March 7th, 2011 in the Redmill Landing Shopping Center at 1253 Nimmo Parkway, Virginia Beach, VA 23456.
