Dear Members,

We'd like to provide you an update on the work continuing at the club.

While repairing some drainage issues in the floor of the club, we discovered some more intensive repairs that needed to occur. This will postpone our reopening date by a few more days.

The good news is that the crews are hard at work and this extra time has allowed us to do some beautiful renovations and improvements which we are excited to show you.

Our targeted reopening is next week, Tuesday, September 8th which we hope to confirm soon.

Additionally, your Board of Directors have worked hard to ensure the club was financially prepared for these updates, and no member assessments will be needed to complete the work.

We appreciate your understanding and please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions.

The Lackawanna Historical Society is offering a special train excursion next week on Saturday, August 15th from Pittston to Tunkhannock and have a few tickets still available.

This will be a unique event that offers participants a chance to meet Revolutionary War reenactors from the "Jersey Grays" and learn about Sullivan's March as you follow the route by train. Before returning to Pittston, you will spend two hours at Riverside Park in Tunkhannock. There you can enjoy displays and information tables from several local history groups plus musket shooting demonstrations from the Jersey Grays.

As we celebrate, let us also reflect on the importance of community and collaboration in upholding these values. Wishing everyone a safe and meaningful holiday.
