Meet the musicians joining us for our formal filmed showcase at ASU Kerr on May 15. 🖤

This night is centered around Emma & James Music’s original songs, but the sound you’ll hear on stage is shaped by an incredible group of musicians bringing depth, color, and live energy to the evening.

🎻 Tim Sadow brings expressive violin work, wide-ranging experience, and a deep ability to move between genres. A classically trained violinist, violist, and fiddler, Tim’s work spans meditation music, country/folk, Irish rock, blues, metal, television, and symphonic performance.

🎸 Felix Sainz, Jr. is a Phoenix-based electric and upright bassist, vocalist, classical guitarist, session musician, producer, and educator with more than 35 years of professional experience. His musicianship spans jazz, Latin, blues, funk, soul, R&B, and contemporary styles.

🎺 PA Dave is a multi-instrumentalist and trombonist who began playing at age twelve. Classically trained and a veteran of countless band, orchestra, blues, and rock gigs, Dave is back actively performing in the Phoenix area after a tragic accident kept him from playing horn for several years.

🥁 Nick Armendariz is a Phoenix-based drummer and audio engineer originally from El Paso, Texas. With influences ranging from Santana, Otis Redding, Bill Withers, and Led Zeppelin to blues, soul, rock, funk, jazz, country, R&B, and Latin music, Nick brings groove, versatility, and deep production experience to the stage.

And of course, Emma & James — husband-and-wife duo Emma Mattison and James Mattison — sharing original music rooted in storytelling, emotion, partnership, and a blues-influenced alternative sound.

We are so excited to share a few of the beautiful evening door prize giveaways for our May 15 formal filmed showcase at ASU Kerr. 🖤

This night is already special to us because we’ll be performing our original music with a full band in one of Scottsdale’s most intimate and historic venues — but we also wanted to highlight a few artists, services, and local partners who are helping make the evening feel even more memorable.
