Halloween at the Idol was a full-on haunted island 🌺💀 We were slammed all night and never had a second to get any photos, so huge thanks to our tiki bar crawl crew for sending this gem our way. Every year you show up in the best costumes and the best spirits. Same time next year? 🍹

🌺 TEN YEARS, ONE VERY SPECIAL GLASS 🌺

Our limited-edition 10th Anniversary Mai Tai glasses have officially landed, and we’re obsessed. 🍹✨
These beauties were designed by the incredibly talented Brian Rechenmacher, aka B-Rex (), a digital artist and graphic designer specializing in tiki and mid-century modern art. Since 2013, he’s been creating prints, products, and custom commissions for clients like The Walt Disney Company and Bacardi, and we’re honored to add Pagan Idol to that list. He poured a whole lot of aloha into every element on this glass, and we couldn’t have asked for a better way to toast a decade. Mahalo nui loa, B-Rex! 🙏🌴
Check out more of his tropical treasures at artofbrex.com 🗿

The glasses make their official debut at our 10 Year Anniversary Party on Wednesday, November 11 from 6–10pm. Come raise a Mai Tai with us, celebrate ten years, and take home a piece of Pagan Idol history. 🔥
See you on the 11th! 🌋

Ten years ago, we opened our doors on Bush Street with a lot of rum, a little bit of nerve, and no idea what was coming.

In a city where places come and go, ten years is not something we take for granted. We’ve made it through pandemic closures, comebacks, and everything in between, and the reason we’re still here is you. The regulars who know our menu better than we do. The first dates that turned into anniversaries. The birthday crews, the after-work rounds, the nights that ran a little too late. And every bartender, barback, and server who poured their heart into this place along the way.
So on Wednesday, November 11, we’re throwing a party to say thank you.

Come back to the island with us, one more time and hopefully for many more. Here’s to the last ten, and the next ten. 🗿🌺

Paradise, private for the night 🌺🔥

We turned Pagan Idol into a full-on escape for Dreamforce — tiki drinks, tropical vibes, and a space that felt like our own private island in the middle of the city.

Ready to host your next celebration somewhere unforgettable? Our events team can bring the same magic to your birthday, holiday party, or corporate gathering.

Long before Pagan Idol's volcano waterfall and starry night sky, this same San Francisco address had tiki in its bones. In the 1960s, 375 Bush Street was home to Tiki Bob's Mainland Rendezvous; a second outpost of the original Tiki Bob's, opened in 1955 by a bartender who left Trader Vic's to build something of his own just a block away. Decades later, Pagan Idol rose from that same foundation in 2016, reimagining the space as an immersive Polynesian Pop escape complete with a wooden ship entrance, a massive hand-carved tiki, and an outrigger canoe overhead. Same address, new legend. Come find out what still lingers in the mist😉

Slack Key ʻOhana brings blues-rooted slack key guitar, ukulele, and three-part harmony to Pagan Idol for one night only. The Witkin Family Trio — with a lineage that runs through Woodstock and Sha Na Na — carries island harmonies and ritual energy few in SF get to witness in person.
Two World Entertainment Awards. Two Nā Hōkū Hanohano nominations. Collaborations with GRAMMY-winning legends of Hawaiian music. And a brand-new album, The ʻOhana Sessions — no samples, no shortcuts, just analog warmth and family harmony.
This is a rare offering. Come find your ʻohana.

Tomorrow night, the tiki gods summon The Gnarlymen 🔥🌺
8:30–11:30pm, live at Pagan Idol
Four musicians. Zero words. Pure reverb-drenched sorcery — surf riffs, spaghetti Western twang, and spy-movie tension that'll transport you straight out of the Idol and into exotic islands, deserts, and desert-noir skies.
Come bask in the reverb. 🌴🎸

🔥 Thursday nights just hit different at Pagan Idol.

DJ Samoa Boy spun "Miami Magic" on wax (yes, 45rpm — we don't do things halfway) while the bar lit up with a spiced rum ritual that had the whole room glowing. 🏴‍☠️
The Cherry Bomb is blended to icy perfection — our Frozen Potion is calling your name all summer long. ❄️🍒

Live music Thursdays are heating up, and every week brings a new offering to the altar. Stay close — the idol has more tricks up its sleeve. 🔮
