For those I haven’t had the pleasure of meeting, I’m Makasta! The general manager & mixologist behind Blue Goose Speakeasy & Veranda Lounge!

I’ve been behind the bar since the very beginning, creating every cocktail menu & special we’ve shared. As I celebrate my birthday today, I’m feeling especially grateful for the opportunity to do what I love in a place that means so much to me.

Thank you to every guest who has taken a seat at our bar, enjoyed one of my creations throughout our company, shared a kind word, or returned with friends. Your support has allowed me to grow, experiment, & continue pouring my heart into every menu. I never take any of that for granted.

Cheers to another year, & thank you for being part of the journey. 💙🥂

A little piece of history hanging above our bar. ✨

This chandelier originally hung in an Elks Lodge in the Duluth area & was salvaged before the building was demolished. Today, it has a new home inside our own historic Elks Lodge building The Pioneer Place! A fitting connection between two places with stories worth preserving.
