The first Sunday of the month is THIS SUNDAY, so that means MTG at AEBC!

Everyone from casual players to seasoned spellslingers are welcome to come hang out & play. We will be playing casual Commander style!

You can bring your own deck(s) or borrow from one of ours. This event is hosted and we’ll be here to get games going and answer questions — don’t worry if you’re new or coming solo.

The first 30 participants get a FREE booster pack from the Lorwyn Eclipsed set! We’re raffling off a commander deck and some card sleeves too!

Bring a friend, bring a deck, and come battle it out over great b**r. See you at the table!

Can you BELIEVE Halloween is this weekend? WILD! Here’s what’s up in the taproom this last week of October:

Wednesday we are runnin’ with our Left Right Left Running Club club. We are going to McKinley Park - make sure to bring light because its getting darker early. We take off from here at 6:30 pm (ish). SweetMother101 will be here with a full menu of Nigerian fusion food options. At 7, we’ve got DJ Bingo with Nick - we play four rounds and there are prizes in each round!

On Thursday, Buenos Aires Food Truck + Catering is here serving up Argentinian eats! We have our weekly bar trivia with Think Tank’d Trivia at 6:30 pm. The game has 30 questions and topics cover a wide variety of subjects - its general knowledge- plus puzzles and music. All you have to do is assemble a team & come compete! This the last Thursday of the month, SO we’ll be awarding MONTHLY prizes too.

Friday, Paris Crepes are here with sweet & savory crepe options. We will be playing music trivia with Tune Platoon at 630 pm. After a few weeks off, our host Jaxon is back in the saddle. The game is four rounds, various categories - it’s the ULTIMATE music knowledge test and a true challenge for music lovers!

On Saturday, it’s Halloween. We’ll be here noon to 10 pm. We’ve got SBS starting at 2 pm. If you know what this is, you know. If you don’t- DM me and I’ll fill you in. At 4 pm, due to popular demand, we are hosting our Pet Halloween Costume Contest. These are the categories for judging: originality, owner/pet coordination, personality and audience appeal. As you can tell, we take this VERY seriously. We’ll have prizes for winners!

On Sunday, we’ll have football on the TVs. We’ve got sound options for viewing inside and out. We are hosting our MTG (Magic the Gathering) at AEBC (At Ease Brewing Co.) at 4 pm. This is our FIRST Sunday of the month hosted MTG game play. We set things up for casual Commander style matches. We’ve got a booster pack for the first 30 participants (from the Lorwyn set) and some raffle prizes. It’s fun and it’s FREE!

We’re back with another week of b**r, food and activities. In sports news - Kings basketball is back, it’s the World Series & the WNBA playoffs & the Sac Republic is playing their last regular game of the season before the playoffs start (they are in the playoffs!). So anyway, we’ll do our very best to have all the sports on!

We’re gearing up for cozy indoor activities and mahjong fits the bill! This session is new & beginner player friendly. We will teach you how to play and be on-hand for guidance and direction. It’s chill vibes and fun and mahjong is “in”! We’ll have game 1 of the World Series on at 5 pm.

Bird Watchin’ & Beers kicks off Sunday at 1030 am (we’ll open early). We’ll take a short walk to spot & learn about the birds that call our city home- join us! Cady S. Fall bird migration is upon us - did you know 275,700 birds crossed over Sacramento just last night? If you’ve ever felt curious about the birds that call our city home (even if just temporarily), we’ve got an event for you!

We’re kicking things off at the brewery on Sunday, October 25 at 10:30 AM, before taking a short stroll to Capitol Park to spot and learn about the local birds.

After soaking in the sights (and sounds) of our feathered friends, we’ll head back to the brewery to enjoy some well-earned b**rs.

This is free & all ages welcome (there is an about 1.5 mile walk).

Dogs are welcome - please ensure they are well-behaved and don’t disrupt the birds.

Bring your binoculars & birding enthusiasm & we’ll see you at the brewery! No registration required - just come learn about Sacramento birds!

Come learn American-style mahjong or play a few games with fellow mahjong fans here in the tap room! If you’ve never touched a tile before - this afternoon is beginner & new player friendly. We’ll have an expert (Holly) on hand to teach the basics and help out as questions come up. If you already know the game, join in and enjoy some friendly rounds.

We’ll have three tables set up for four players each, so there’s room for 12 people to play at a time.

How it works: There’s no registration. Just show up! Seats are first come, first served, and the first 12 people to arrive will get a spot at the tables. If more than 12 people come, no worries. Folks can rotate in as seats open up, so everyone gets a chance to play.

Hungry? Bahay Kubo Food Truck - Home of the Filipino Bánh Mì™ will be on site, so you can grab a bite while you play or wait for your turn.

Thirsty? We have a selection of b**rs on tap at At Ease Brewing Co., as well as a seltzer & non-alcoholic options.
