The Monk’s Cellar in Downtown Roseville has brought a little bit of Belgium to the West Coast, with a community-focused, award winning brewery, restaurant and bar. Like the Monks of old, our team has created an atmosphere where you can relax, reflect and respect the finer things of life like sharing fine beer and great food with friends.

Monk's will be closing early on Halloween, so our staff can enjoy the holiday. Join us before 5pm on Saturday or for "Sundays at the Cellar" 11am to 3pm every Sunday.

Twelve years ago this week we opened The Monk’s Cellar. We were the 2nd restaurant on our block. We hoped, but little did we know, that all these years later we would have a thriving and growing Downtown Roseville. Complete with bars, restaurants, and a live music venue, driving all kinds of people down to Vernon Street. We wanted to bring something different to Placer County: something genuine, with real food, real b**r, real cocktails, and real community. We are far from perfect, but we do our best to give our community a place to relax. To get out of the chaos of our world. To slow down and savor great food, b**r, cocktails, and each other. We want to thank everyone who has supported us over the years. We do this for you and for our love of this community. We owe gratitude to our current and past employees, some of whom have been with us the entire time. What a great time it has been and we look forward to many, many more years to come.

Monk's is turning 12, we're throwing a BIG Party, & you're all invited! Join us on Saturday, October 24th as we celebrate another trip round the sun for your favorite local brewery. What to expect?

An expanded b**r list with: Two collaboration brews. A traditional Bock brewed with Geisthaus Brewing here in Sacramento & a Biere De Garde with Apogee Brewing out of SoCal. Plus four variations of a stout, aged in Toasted Oak Wh***ey barrels (Untreated, with Peanuts, with Pecans, & with Walnuts). Plus two more b**rs by Monk's. A barrel-aged Saison dry-hopped & bottle conditioned & a West Coast IPA.

Not to be out done by all the great b**r, Chef Nycole has put together a special menu that brings back a couple of all time favorites, our Carbonnade Flemish Stew & Chocolate Mousse Dessert. Plus a Bock B**r Poutine, Roasted Brussel Sprouts, Grilled Duck, & a Seared Cod. All that on top of our regular menu. Come hungry!

And let's not forget that Monk's was again named "Best Bar" by Style Magazine this year. Our bar manager Kevin is turning back the clock with a couple $12 cocktails (long time fans will remember) and cracking open the last bottles of a private barrel 12 year old wh***ey we've been saving for just this occasion.
