🍇 Vallenuova — Chianti Classico, structured and elegant
🍇 Valdisanti — Cab Sauv/Cab Franc, power and finesse in the same glass
🍇 Picconero — 100% Merlot, only made in the best vintages. This one’s the closer for a reason.

2010 Te Mata Coleraine — Hawke’s Bay, New Zealand
This is New Zealand’s most iconic red wine. A Bordeaux-style blend of Cab Sauv, Merlot, and Cab Franc from one of the oldest estate vineyards in the country — and the 2010 is fully in its window. 16 years of age on this thing. It’s drinking exactly how you want it to: red fruit, dried herbs, cedar, and tannins that have softened into something really elegant.
Bottle of the Week isn’t always a splurge — sometimes it just feels like one.
List price on this bottle is $238. I’m pouring it today at $15 for a 3oz pour.
