A good server makes you feel welcome at a restaurant.
A great one makes you feel seen, remembers your order, knows you by name, & cares how you are. They even call to check on you while you’re in the hospital. And then they’ll go the extra mile & check on your pets.
Verity Graham is one of the great ones. She opened the restaurant with me 7 1/2 years ago. I remember when she came to interview, I told my manager: “whatever happens, we are hiring that blue-haired woman from England.”
Since then, she has shaped the restaurant, & we wouldn’t have made it through the first year without her & a handful of others. She’s in our walls, our menu, our culture.
Verity has been juggling real estate & serving for years, & she’s finally going to be a realtor full-time. She just worked her last week with us, & to say she’ll be missed is an understatement.
