Social was opened in 2010 in the busy 500 block of east state street in Downtown Rockford as a highly focused cocktail bar and restaurant. We’re more than a bar or a restaurant – we’re a meeting place for those who appreciate big flavors, handcrafted beverages, and a dinner party atmosphere. Expect charcuterie boards packed with unique handmade meats and regional cheeses, small plates meant to share or make a light meal, and large plates like our Hot Chicken or Pork Chop along with a full-on bar program that treats mixology like an art form. Yes, we carry absinthe. Yes, our cocktails might come with a show and no we don't have Fruit Loop flavored Vodka... but if you're into that kind of thing, ask the bartender to do a take on it, and let the experience begin. Whether you’re stopping by after work, gathering with friends, or marking something special – you’ll find warm service, an inviting atmosphere, and an urban feel in the heart of the city.
