Wednesday November 25! ASB15: The Night of the Sardine

Fifteen years, countless b**rs, & one gajillion fish tins later, we’re hitting this milestone head-on - no pumping the brakes!

The Night of the Sardine, ASB15, or even just The Night Before Thanksgiving — our annual birthday bash is always a blast, and this one is set to be better than ever. To celebrate American Sardine Bar’s 15th trip around the sun, we’re throwing an epic block party – guest DJs, tons of great b**r, a one-night-only menu celebrating the mighty sardine from Chef Michael Hackett alongside your usual ASB favorites, bubbles to toast with, and special shooters from your favorite ASB bartenders too.

Warm yourself by one of our fire pits while relaxing on a hay bale & sipping hot apple c***r, chat with some friendly faces at our 18th Street satellite bar, sway to the sounds spinning on the turntables, and catch up with old pals & neighbors.

This night is a festive way to kick off the holiday season, our favorite night of the year, and we can’t think of a better way to celebrate fifteen years than with all of you. We hope you can join us!

Will Cynthia Erivo be as hard-hitting as Shirley Ballas? Will Derek or Bruno attempt a Wicked riff? Will Julianne be dressed as a mouseketeer? Join us at American Sardine Bar this Thursday 10/29 for an evening of all things Wenk!

In honor of Philly C***r Week, we’re throwing a lil’ “C***r for a Song” session featuring c***rs from our buds at Ploughman, live music, and a special menu featuring fruit from Three Springs Farm.

We’ll have all kinds of Ploughman C***r - on tap, in the bottle, by the glass, and cans too - including Cherrybyrd, Fawn and Pigeon Hawk alongside our usual favorites.

Chef Michael mhhack is bringing the harvest goodness to the plate with all kinds of fun snacks - both savory and sweet - with Three Springs Fruit Farm at the core of each of them.

The illustrious Ben Wenk, c***rmaker, farmer, and acclaimed* musician, will be providing the tunes, and you will be providing the set list! The premise is simple - buy a c***r, request a song - but who can know what the night will bring? Maybe a few special treats, maybe a few surprises too. Ben says, “You can be as gentle or as cruel as you’d like.”

As always, we’re taking table reservations, but they’re not required, and the bars are always first come, first served. No tickets, no requisites - come when you want, drink what you want, eat what you want.

Autumn's calling, and when the days are this crisp an apple-laced salad is the perfect complement. Our friends at Three Springs Fruit Farm sent over some gorgeous ginger golds which mhhack lightly smoked before tossing with creamy birchrun bleu, toasted pecans, paper-thin onion and mixed greens tossed with a mulled c***r vinaigrette. It's vegetarian. Gluten-free. And the perfect way to start your meal at ASB. Come give it a whirl.

Calling all elder millennials (yes, GenX and GenZ can get on this bandwagon, too): report for duty at American Sardine Bar on Tuesday, September 15th as the new season of kicks off with the most 🔥cast they've had in years. Tatyana Ali, Julia Stiles, Harry Shum, Taylor Hanson, Jenna Dewan, Guillermo, and Ciara are about to light up the ballroom. And we can't leave out chef Giada deLaurentiis, paralympian Ezra Frech, Savannah Banana Jackson Olson, and a smattering of other influencers and reality stars from some of your favourite shows. In case you haven't been paying attention, this season is positively stacked. Come snack, sip, watch and vote with us all season long.

Rachel and Mama Wild Heart are out here with some of the finest veggies, flowers, and goods we've seen all year. Come get the last of the '26 t'maters, autumn squash (because yes, colder days are coming), peppers, a bouquet of flowers for the wife because the Eagles game might involve a lot of yelling the TV... not sayin' just sayin'. ::wink wink nudge nudge::

These summer hours may be winding down, but they’re not done yet. And neither is our farmer friend, Rachel, from Wild Heart Farm! She'll be back this Sunday, September 13th from 1-4pm for an afternoon pop-up market at American Sardine Bar.

Clambake
With Labor Day right around the corner, the timing is perfect for American Sardine Bar’s Summer Clambake with Narragansett! A late August seafood party at ASB has become somewhat of a tradition, & we think this year will be better than ever!
Join us Thursday August 27th, 4pm-10pm for a good old seafood feast with a one-night only special menu from Chef Andrew Douglas — clams! crawfish! shrimp! corn & potatoes! plenty of drawn butter! Extra special summertime snax & sides! …. and maybe even some crab legs too! Narragansett B**r is taking care of the b**r side of things with buckets of ice cold L***r and all of our ‘Gansett faves.
