3 new white wines have been added to our menu just in time for the warmer weather!
Chardonnay Domaine Louis Michel & Fils, Chablis, France, 2023
This historic estate is a benchmark producer in Chablis, known for its classic, un-oaked style. The wine shows bright citrus, green apple, and wet stone/flint, with high acidity and a clean, precise finish. Excellent with seafood, Iberico de Bellota, creamy cheeses like Brie and Burrata, and vegetable-forward dishes like artichokes. Its acidity and minerality cut through richness beautifully.
Viura, Plácet de Valtomelloso, Rioja, Spain
This is a high-end white Rioja made from Viura (Macabeo), known for its elegance and texture. The brief skin contact adds subtle structure and aromatic depth. Flavor profile includes ripe pear, white peach, subtle tropical fruit, white flowers, and herbal notes, supported by a creamy texture and a long, mineral-driven finish. Works well with richer fish, poultry, or creamy pastas.
Sauvignon Blanc, Chatelain, Les Chaillous Silex, Pouilly-Fume, France, 2024
Pouilly-Fumé is one of the most distinctive expressions of Sauvignon Blanc, and this cuvée comes from “Les Chailloux”, a vineyard name meaning “warm stones,” often referring to flint soils. The wine is known for its intense minerality and smoky, flinty (“gunflint”) character, which is a hallmark of top Pouilly-Fumé wines. The nose is typically expressive, with citrus, green herbs, and subtle smoky notes, while the palate is crisp, vibrant, and structured with a saline edge.
