This Friday, June 12, we’re celebrating Flag Day at Fraunces Tavern 🇺🇸
The day commemorates the adoption of the Stars and Stripes as the official flag of the United States. It’s a tradition with deep roots here at Fraunces Tavern, where so much of the country’s early history took shape.
The Sons of the Revolution will host their annual Flag Day Parade, one of the longest-running in New York City. The parade steps off from City Hall Park at noon and arrives outside Fraunces Tavern around 12.30pm.
The parade and ceremony are free and open to the public and no tickets are required. There will be live music in the Independence Bar from 4.30-7.30pm, and Fraunces Tavern Museum will offer $1 admission until 5pm.
