While we’ve been pouring, tasting, teaching and welcoming you into Decant, there’s been a little more happening behind the scenes.

One of our favorite projects this summer was sourcing luxury wines for the private yacht Lady Elaine, whose home port is right here in New Smyrna Beach.

We felt incredibly honored to be entrusted with the task of sourcing a collection of high-end, highly allocated and truly special wines for their guests.

There’s something incredibly rewarding about the hunt — finding the bottle that isn’t sitting on every shelf, tracking down something special, making the calls, coordinating the details and, finally, seeing it all come together.

And then there’s getting the wine where it needs to go.

A special thank you to Chris, who helped throughout the entire process and ultimately helped make sure the wines safely made their way to their final destination. It truly was a team effort. 🥂

This is one of the lesser-known sides of what we do at **Decant**.

Yes, we have a wine shop and tasting room. But we also source wine — for private collections, events, yachts, celebrations and anyone looking for something exceptional or difficult to find.

Being trusted with a project like this, especially for a yacht that calls New Smyrna Beach home, was something we genuinely appreciated.

Sometimes the best part of wine is the story of how you found it.

And then, of course, there’s tonight…

We’re getting ready for a BIG week of wine, music, and some seriously good pairings — and there’s one event you’re not going to want to miss.

🍫🍷 THURSDAY | NATIONAL PORT DAY: PORT & CHOCOLATE PAIRING

Port isn’t just for after dinner.

Join us Thursday for a guided tasting exploring the beautiful range of Port, paired with chocolate and designed to show just how versatile this classic fortified wine can be.

We’ll be pouring our way from **White Port all the way to a beautifully aged 10-Year Port**, with several styles in between. Each wine will be paired with chocolate to bring out the flavors, textures, sweetness, and surprising differences between each style.

Lately, we’ve been busy behind the scenes doing one of the things I love most about Decant: creating experiences around wine, food, and the people we love.🍷

We recently had the pleasure of hosting a beautiful European-inspired dinner here in New Smyrna Beach to celebrate Gaby’s birthday — and it was such a special evening.

Working alongside Chef Chris Perry of Cru Table, we created a food and wine experience that took our guests on a little journey through Europe. From a beautiful French rosé paired with ratatouille, a delicious mushroom risotto with steak paired with a Super Tuscan, Spanish style meatballs paired with Tempranillo Reserva, and olive oil cake & peaches paired with Sherry Fino. Every course was designed to complement the wines and make the evening feel like more than just dinner.

And Greg was there bringing live music to the celebration, because sometimes the right soundtrack is just as important as the right bottle. 🎶

This is what I want Decant to be known for.

Not just a place to come in for a glass of wine, but a place where **we can help you create the entire experience.**
