Words cannot express what a wonderful two years it has been, but I shall try. We have been honored to be a part of such an incredibly close nit community. We would like to thank everyone for all the support, kindness and friendship. As some of you may have heard and I would like to confirm, The Chalice off Canal will be closing its doors. October 27th will be our final day of operation.
Until then we will be operating normal hours, Wednesday through Saturday 4:00 to 10:00 pm. If you have a favorite wine please stop in and buy a few bottles. We will be selling all our bottled wine until the end (except our house wine) at 25% off, once we run out we will not be reordering.
If you have any unused gift certificates, please stop in soon. There is retail available on all wines along with candles and wine glasses.
Myself, Beverly and Linda have enjoyed this venture and will miss seeing your faces every week. We have learned a lot about wine while at the same time learning how friendly and fun New Smyrna Beach residents are.
I know some of you may be wondering why I chose to sell such a phenomenal establishment. As most of you know I have rheumatoid arthritis, while opening the wine bar has been a dream come true, it has also exasperated this condition. I felt that long term would not be sustainable and put a plan in place to be able to sell if it was meant to be. Your support has meant the world to me and I am grateful to have met you all. I will be going back to my accounting roots but I will still be out and around town and cannot wait to see you at one of our other great local establishments and raising a glass with you.
