He may be retired from the band.
He may be missing from the Superdome.
He may be not be blowing his horn.
He even may not be dancing his crazy leg moves.
He is however, still a Living New Orleans Icon, with a survivor’s will that back in February shocked his Cardiology team when they saw him walking the hallway.
Happy 98th. birthday to my Daddy. Thanks for being an example of strength, resolve, determination, and above all, Spirit.
