Paul Wasserman of Becky Wasserman & Co. is Taking over Pluck Tomorrow
Dear W**e Lovers,
If you like Burgundy, then whether you know it or not, you also like the legendary importer Becky Wasserman & Co.
Becky built the company into the house behind many of the region’s greatest producers, and her son Paul carries that legacy forward today.
Wasserman & Co. is more than a portfolio. They are an essential part of Burgundy's past, present and future.
Y'all do not have the time to endure the degree to which I could wax poetic about the importance of Becky, Paul, and the team that makes it tick. Let's just say I've learned more about Burgundy over a meal at the Wasserman dinner table, than I have over two decades buried in books or somm-ing on restaurant floors.
This is Paul Wasserman's first visit to New Orleans, so we intend to set the bar high. He’ll be pouring and available to talk w**e all night. If you've ever wished you could share a glass with someone who can untangle the mysteries of Burgundy into something elegant and memorable, this is your night to swing by Pluck.
The goal for any of our events, this one included, is to make rare or otherwise exorbitant w**es more accessible. Many of Paul's Plucks, from Lafarge and Mugnier to Pataille and the Loire's Guiberteau, will either be poured by the glass or deeply discounted by the bottle.
To make the most of having these rare beauties open, we’ve also built a menu of mini flights for side-by-side comparing and contrasting (i.e., the best way to learn).
